Current County Commissioner Rod Schaffer has re-filed for his position in the upcoming election, while Ted Amsden has also filed for the same position.
Vanna Byrd has filed for Clerk of District Court.
All three candidates have filed as Republicans, according to Clerk & Recorder Cynde Jo Gatlin.
The application deadline for the upcoming open county elected positions is March 9th, at 5 PM. Two county positions are up for election – the District 1 County Commissioner, and the District Clerk of Court.
