Living in a small town comes with the advantage of knowing that you can count on your neighbor in times of need. Surprisingly, even in small towns, where it’s hard to keep a secret, needs are sometimes left unaddressed because those with willing hands are unaware of them.
JustServe is a service that links volunteers with those who need them. The JustServe website, http://www.justserve.com, is completely free to the public, non-profit organizations, and governmental agencies. It exists to facilitate relief for those who are suffering and also to strengthen community bonds through service.
JustServe is provided and maintained by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and is not for publicity or for the promotion of profit-driven, fundraising, or political events. Though religious organizations are invited to utilize the site for volunteer recruitment, JustServe is not for religious ministering and proselytizing - it is simply a service that links community volunteer needs with volunteers.
If you would like to become a volunteer or if your agency or organization has need of volunteers or non-monetary donations, go to http://www.justserve.org and sign up today. Smartphone users may want to check out the JustServe app for Android and Apple.
