Fall is an awfully short season around here and if the blustery weather has you ready to curl up with a good book, then check out the Building a Better Broadus Book Club. The group, led by Melissa Billing, meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30pm at the office of Gardner & Billing CPAs. We’ll be reading “Dare to Lead” by Brene Brown, but this isn’t a run-of-the-mill book club because surprisingly, you don’t even need to read it to participate. The book is merely a stepping stone to help us inspire discussion, explore leadership and better understand our neighbors. So join us next time on November 20th and let’s get talking.
Wednesday, November 13th is the Powder River Ag Expo! Sponsored by the Powder River Chamber of Commerce & Ag and Montana Farm Bureau Foundation, the program will include an afternoon youth ag safety demonstration in conjunction with the school, a consumer trade show, kids’ petting zoo, meal and entertainment. The trade show will take place from 3:00 to 7:00 pm and entrance is free, so please stop by the fair barn and see the many great vendors in attendance! Livestock, equipment, demonstrations and much more! Free self-serve buffet-style meal in the north end of the fair barn will be available between 6:00-7:30 pm. A meal catered by Tracy Vail will include chili and all the fixin's, chicken and rice soup, corn bread, rolls and desserts. Drinks will be available for purchase courtesy of the Big Sky Bar and some light entertainment will include music and cowboy poetry. Join us for a fun afternoon and evening to celebrate agriculture in our community!
Save the date for the Broadus Christmas Stroll – Friday, December 6th. The theme this year is “Christmas in Whoville” inspired by the classic Dr. Seuss story “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.”
