The Moonlight Walk is set for the next full moon or Saturday, October 12th, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. beginning at the Powder River Medical Clinic in Broadus. Luminarias will help light the pathway.
Walkers are invited to decorate a small, white, paper bag, which will become a luminaria when LED lights and sand are placed inside the bag. Turn the decorated bag in at the Extension Office prior to the Moonlight Walk and names will be drawn for prizes. Small bags are available for free at the MSU Extension – Powder River County office.
Glow bracelets and necklaces will be provided for walkers, and prizes will be awarded for the best “Glow” costume for both men and women at the Moonlight Walk. All prizes are sponsored by the Powder River County Tobacco Prevention Coalition.
The event is organized by the Powder River Trails organization to promote family, fun physical activity. Refreshments will be provided. For more information on the Moonlight Walk, contact the MSU Extension Office – Powder River County at 436-2424.
