Forty-four duffers got together to support a good cause and to have good fun at the Powder River Farm in the Dell 7th annual Golf Scramble this past Saturday. This is one of the Farm's major fundraisers each year.
There were close to 30 different hole sponsors whose placards decorated the course. The Farm's Board of Directors extends a big thank you to each of them as well as the 11 teams that participated. Other thank yous include Laura Lambert for putting together a wonderful lunch, John Blain for filling in wherever needed, Warren Wash for barbequing and the Rolling Hills Golf course for allowing the event to take place.
Winning teams in the Gross and Net categories each received gift cards and a traveling trophy.
Winning the Gross category (scores before handicap) with a 30 and the Net category with a 15.5 was the team of: Russ Kinzer, Bea Knudson, Dave Mader and Terry Powell.
Second Place Gross was a tie with a 31, between the teams of Phoebe Amsden, Troy Amsden, Clay LaPlant and Shane LaPlant, and the team of Karen Capp, Ray Randall, Jaci Robinson and Nate Robinson.
Second in Net with a 16.25 went to Clint Hahn, Lee Turnbough, Wrye Williams and Wyatt Williams.
Hole prize winners included:
• Longest Putt – Terry Powell
• Longest Drive – Troy Amsden
• Closest to the Pin – Eric Swenson
• Closest to the Fence without going out – Bea Knudson
• Closest to the Outhouse – Eric Swenson
• Closest to the Target – Tom Herzog
• Closest Chip – Doug Gardner

We are thankful for all the folks that came out to enjoy a day of golf in support of the Farm in the Dell.
