EXPERIENCE WORKS JOB OPPORTUNITY

Submitted by Pat Ridenour

Does everyone have a job that wants to work? Are you 55 years of age and would like to have a part-time job?

Experience Works, a Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP), funded through the Department of Labor, is a national non-profit organization seeking persons 55 years of age or older wanting to get into the workforce.

If you are unemployed and have limited income, this program could be for you. You could gain valuable skills through on-the-job-training in local non-profit organizations, such as County Offices, Library, Nursing Home School, Museum, or Senior Center among others. The training you receive could be an avenue to employment as you build confidence and have more community engagement.

This job is NOT County Employment. A qualified applicant would be interviewed and placed with an organization according to their skills and where it would benefit the applicant and the organization.

Stop by the Senior Center for more information and an application or call Toll Free 866-900-7832. You may also email [email protected]. Linda Lang is another contact for this information. Call her at 406-794-2161.
