#prstepsforcharity
There are several AWESOME charities and TEAM MEMBERS to recognize this week!
BCHC Calving Trekkers are Tedi Jo Williams and Mary, Owen and Jackie Rumph. The BCHC Calving Trekkers chose the Biddle Community Heritage Center (BCHC) as their charity. “The BCHC is in need of minor repairs. We would like to support the efforts to improve the hall for the school and the community,” is why the Trekkers chose their charity.
The Stacey Steppers are Stacy Hagedorn, Shasta Madsen, Amanda Hodge and Krista Gotfredson. Stepping with their parents are the Stacey Speeders including Cassie and Anna Hagedorn and Kimber and Sutton Hodge! Both of the Steppers and the Speeders chose the Stacey Hall as their charity. It’s a great community hall in need of money. Volunteers work hard year-round to make repairs and keep up this building, a welcome gathering place for neighborhood activities.
Another young Steps for Charity team, who are stepping with their parents are the Hawk M&Ms and include Shyla, Ashton and Macey Madsen and Macyn McDowell. This team chose our community’s Youth Basketball & Volleyball, youth programs coached by volunteers Libby Nisley, Karen Capp and Cass Zimmer. The kids LOVE these sports programs and wanted their steps to support what they love!
The Glober Trotters include Kristy and John Elgin, Kathy Bowers and Sherry Huckins. The Trotters chose Scramble 4 A Cure as their charity saying, “We have had many family members and many other local people affected by cancer, and this charity has been wonderful in helping them.”
Powder River First Responders is the charity chosen by the Red Hot Chili Steppers. They are Katie Ward, Pat Phillippi, Kesa Copps, and Jennifer Hinshaw. The Red Hot Chili Steppers chose this charity because, “the Powder River First Responders are always prepared to help whenever accidents or health crises occur. They currently need another Lifepak mackine (EKG, defibrillator/ vital signs) and a Lucas device (CPR Compression machine).”
ACES – Ashland Community Emergency Services was another charity critical to keeping our community safe. The Spark in’Strides sponsored by DV Bar Welding and Fabrication chose ACES because, “we know and work with several people from ACES. They are not as fortunate to have what our Broadus services have, and we just wanted to share across communities. The Spark in’ Strides members are David and Gina Vineyard, Russ Kinzer and Joyce Drane.
St. Vincent De Paul Thrift Store in Broadus was the charity chose by two teams:
The Penguin Pacers, sponsored by Riley Ranch, include members Randy Sullivan, Thelma Taylor, Kathy Heidel and Brenda Czoer.
Mills Movers, a team sponsored by Mills Auction Service, includes Darlynn Williams, Charlee Kuhbacher and Sis and Poppy Mills. These groups chose Broadus’ St. Vincent De Paul to spread the word of the incredible support St. Vincent’s provides to community members in need.
