Steps for Charity Challenge

This week we will highlight the teams that chose charities in memory of Amanda Gaskill.

Two groups chose the Amanda Gaskill Scholarship Fund:

Fantastic Four are Tami and Sierra Bayles, Jen Rosencranz and Janie Calvert.

Gaskill’s Gallopers are Leslie Stradinger, Kristina Ryan and Vanna Byrd.

When asked why they chose this charity, they replied, “We walk in remembrance of a very special young lady who we miss very much, and to further the education of a worthy student.”

The other charity in memory of Amanda is the Amanda Gaskill Spay and Neuter Fund. Amanda loved cats.

Purrfect Moovers are Lynne Pedersen, Cindy May, Jessica Rumph and Liz McRae.

Our Shot includes Anne, Lyman and John Amsden and Jackie Amsden Slovak.

“We would like to use the winnings to continue to spay and neuter animals in town, who do not have a human advocate. We hope to help control the population by spaying and neutering to ease the burden of feeding the wild cats, many of whom are fed and cared for by our town’s seniors.”

How do you get steps when it is so cold and snowy????

Anna and Cassie Hagedorn, Stacey Speeders, walk the hallways in their house. “I’m at 100, I’m at 350, I’m at 800”…Great work girls!!

Tom Herzog, Walking by Faith, gets his steps by bundling up and walking everywhere and going to the gym!

Marge Mader, Karen Amende, Nick Knoblouch, Caeligh McCarthy, Kitty Riggs, Julie Riley, Diane Stuver, Katie Ward and Denise Ternes have been walking at the high school.
