Kindergarten Learns about Food Groups with Pizza

The Broadus Kindergarten had a fun afternoon on January 24, 2019 learning about food groups. Liz Riter, Powder River Conservation District, and Elizabeth Emeline, American Bird Conservancy, went to the school to teach the students about the different food groups, by talking about pizza ingredients. The group then made a pretend pizza with felt pieces, and Elizabeth talked about the different grassland birds, where they live, and what they look like. The class then had a snack of Seabeck Pizza and orange juice. Yummy! Pictured above are back row Elizabeth Emeline and Mrs. Isaak, while kindergarteners include Faith Lockrem, Dylan Krantz, Kaya Hunt, Avery Kramme, Maci Emmons, Arya Piechura, Peyton Martinson, Rickee Bilbrey, and Daxson Wahl. Out from school that day were Hazel Kinzer, Clinton Handran, and Mikayla Capp.
