"4-H members had an opportunity to lead a meeting and practice how to make a motion at the workshop held Saturday at the Courthouse," said Rumph.
4-H Council President Missy Billing taught a break out session to 4-H club treasurers, explaining how to correctly handle the club's finances.
Powder River Commissioner Lee Randall met with current and aspiring presidents and vice presidents to explain the role they play in properly conducting a meeting.
Extension Agent Julie Riley challenged the members with a team building activity, reflecting on the importance of communication and involvement of all members.
After playing a noisy parliamentary quiz bowl, members worked through a mock meeting under the guidance of Rumph. Members practiced making motions, giving reports and took turns as president in conducting the meeting. The workshop ended with flavored popcorn tasting – "puppy chow" was determined to be the majority's favorite. 4-H members who attended the workshop included Jaxon & Shaylee Bilbrey, Sterling & Zadeea Graham, Ezra & Alexis Gotfredson, Reuben & Bonita Kinzer, Ashton, Shyla, & Macey Madsen, Emelyn Harper, Addison Randall, and Laney Williams.
