Missoula Children's Theatre to host THE SNOW QUEEN this weekend

Journey with fun-loving Hobgoblins to the “land of colored ice” this Friday and Saturday, as they tell the tale of a young girl and her quest to find her best friend. You may find yourself believing in malevolent mirrors, yetis, talking reindeer, and snow chickens when the Missoula Children's Theatre perform an original musical adaptation of THE SNOW QUEEN.

The local cast features Rebekah Rasmussen as Gerda; Shaylee Bilbrey as her best friend, Kay; and Hannah Rasmussen as the Snow Queen. Jada MacBlane will play Gerda’s Grandma/Old Robber Woman, and Tawna Quiroz will play Kay’s Grandma/Lappish Woman. The Gardner Woman/ Finnish Woman will be Deanna Twedt. Luke McAlpine plays Bae, Donovan Sturtz plays Yeti; Payton Rumph plays Little Robber Girl; and Mr. and Mrs. Crow will be Archer Edwards and Keara MacDougall. Zoe Page and Ayla Semmendinger will play the Prince and Princess. The imaginative, fun-loving Hobgoblins are Erick McConnon and Lyza McMullan. The Snow Animals are Shaelea Reil as a Goose, and Kayleigh Opstedahl as a rabbit. The Robbers will be played by Samantha ThreeFingers-Hart, Whitney Hartman, and Alexis Gotfredson. And the Snow Chickens are Arya and Raelynn Piechura, Aria Gatlin, Peyton Martinson, and Macey Madsen. Serving as Assistant Director will be Megan Johnson.

THE SNOW QUEEN will be presented November 2, 6:00 p.m. and November 3, 12:30 p.m. at the High School Auditorium. Tickets are $5.00 for adults, $4.00 for students and $3.00 for senior citizens and pre-school. Tickets are available at the door.
