Letters to the Editor

Dear Mr. Editor,

Having just set out a yard sign for John Tester, I decided to write a letter to further express support and confidence for this 3rd generation farmer, community leader, and citizen who is serving our State and Nation as a U.S. Senator.

John knows and has lived the life familiar to Montana rural, small town folks. As a farmer working the land homesteaded by his Grandpa and worked by his dad, he knows the reality of weather, taxes, prices, roads, schools and neighbors. He knows the importance of good government at all levels, local, state and national. He has served at all those levels.

John has demonstrated sound judgement and ethical behavior characteristic of the people he represents.

His voting record shows that he works with Republicans, Democrats, and Independents to hammer out solutions for the problems facing our democracy.

His record of addressing Veteran’s issues is strong and effective.

We expect our elected representatives to work with colleagues with civility, respect for opposing views, and by using honest and verifiable facts.

John meets those expectations.

Respectfully submitted,

Jean Hough
