The Broadus boys placed second as a team with a 384, with Huntley placing 1st with a 327, and Colstrip third with a 398. The Broadus girls placed 1st with a 395, beating Colstrip and their 514. This week the Broadus high school team plans on meets at Belle Fourche on Tuesday, Laurel on Saturday, and then the Top 10 next week, for those who qualify. Broadus Head Track Coach Faith Dyrud told us that as of Monday, Matt Hansen was qualified for the Top Ten in the 300 meter hurdles. The Top Ten Meet consists of the athletes from all classes who are in the top ten performers from across the region – so making the meet as a Class C athlete is a...

With Broadus Head Coach Faith Dyrud in charge of FFA students in her capacity as F...
The Broadus High School Track team got off to a running start last week in Glendive. Snow from a storm earlier in the week was piled around the track to make room for the competitors; fortunately the storm had left time for the track to dry before the meet. The day of the meet the temperatures were cold; Broadus Head Track Coach Faith Dyrud told us the cold conditions served as a good training aid to the team, as they felt themselves becoming cold between events, they realized the need to keep...

Instead, the team has another week to prepare, and will now be traveling to Glendive on March 28th, if the weather holds. The golf team had decent weather until the last few days, and will start their season with a JV Golf competition in Forsyth on March 28th, and a meet at Rolling Hills Golf Course on the...

The biggest bracket warrior was Kreed Graff, wrestling ten matches, many of which were...

With eight wrestlers on the roster for the state tournament, Broadus Head Wrestling Coach Frankie Schoonover knew there was a chance at a team trophy, but it would take a full team effort to make such an event occur. That's just what happened, as Broadus achieved their first wrestling team trophy in nearly 50 years, as they placed second in Class C, only trailing Forsyth, a team which moved down from Class B in the last year.
