When describing the weather at the event, he took on a more serious tone, as the team fought rain and snow, breezy conditions, and cold at the meet. One spectator we spoke to about the meet noted that the competitors in the high jump were soaked with water every time they hit the...

  • Golfers Place At State

    May 26, 2022

The Broadus Golf team played at the State Tournament in Sidney last week. Weather for the first day of the two day event was wonderful, according to Broadus Head Golf Coach Chad Gatlin. The second day, on the other hand, was rather abysmal, with cold conditions and a steady 20-25 mph wind gusting to 35. The difference in weather was reflected in the scores, as by and large the bulk of the teams shot far better on day 1 compared to day 2. Emma Isaacs, Broadus Sophomore, placed third at State by...

    May 19, 2022

The District Track Meet took place Monday in Baker, having been rescheduled from the original date of May 12th due to heavy rain. The storm also delayed the Broadus Elementary Track Meet, originally scheduled for Friday. That meet had an original make-up day of Monday, but with the delay in the District Meet, the Elementary Meet had to be rescheduled for Tuesday due to the necessity of Track Coach and Elementary PE Teacher Jerry Coulter managing the Elementary Meet. This chain of events...

    May 5, 2022

Broadus Tracksters competed in two meets last week – the Hardin Invitational on April 26th and the Harlo/Park City Meet in Laurel on April 30th. On the girls side, Aubree...

  • Track Team Runs With The Wind At Laurel

    Apr 28, 2022

Despite the recent spring storms which caused the cancellation of the Wibaux Meet as well as the Sidney Meet, the Broadus Track Team was able to attend the second Laurel Meet, which was rescheduled from its original date to April 19th. The long hiatus from school cause by the storm meant the kids had a week between practices, but it also allowed sufficient time for two athletes to come back from injuries suffered prior to the season, those being Tytan Hanson and Abigail Martin. Those additions provided Broadus with some extra firepower in the...

Broadus rolled into the Class C State Tournament in Great Falls last week on icy roads and fighting high winds through much of their journey. The winds reached such...
