Nadine Elmore with the Montana Health Network (a staffing agency) has taken over the helm at Powder River Manor as Interim Administrator, after the non-renewal of Sean Hill as Administrator. Powder River County Commissioners commented during a recent meeting that they have recently had and will continue to have a larger presence at the Manor. Helena, Mont. – On Friday April 14, 2023, the Montana Department of Livestock (MDOL) confirmed Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in a Rosebud County backyard poultry flock. This is the 17th HPAI affected flock in the state of Montana linked to the 2022 outbreak of HPAI infections in the United States. The disease was last confirmed in poultry in the state in January. The Steps for Charity walking challenge ended March 31st with 20 teams and 80 participants logging over 33, 326,443 million steps or 750 miles in the two-month period. The Biddle Calving Crew logged the most steps with 3,417,699, raising $330 for the Biddle Community Heritage Center. Mary, Owen, Jackie and Evan Rumph make up this family walking team, averaging 379,744 steps each week or 57,927 each day.
