Following a meeting last week between the schools in the Eastern C Football Division, the schedules for the upcoming High School Football season were finalized. Broadus will now host Plentywood for the first game of the season, this Friday at 7:00 PM, for a Varsity only game. Parent's night will be held before the game. Thursday, August 30, 1990 Scott Sanburn, Two Pat win working horse show Scott Sanburn and Two Pat have won the prestigious Powder River Working Horse Show. The partners garnered 72 points, placing first in two of the nine events at the annual show, and in the top four in five others. Assistant Football Coach Cass Zimmer spotted a bull moose spying on the Broadus football practice, last Saturday morning. While the team was preparing to snap the ball, Zimmer said he looked up and saw the moose crossing from the clinic to behind the elementary school. Zimmer exclaimed "There's a moose", with the players initially ignoring him, perhaps with the thought he was messing with them, until laying eyes on the young bull themselves. As we reported several weeks ago, the collection box at the Post Office in Broadus has been removed temporarily for construction on the sidewalk outside the post office. According to personnel with the USPS, when the work is complete the box will be returned to its location. The box removal is not associated with the widely reported collection box removal at many other post offices around the country....
