    A house fire started on Saturday night around 10 PM in Crane Acres, at the residence of Bucky and Sharon Billing. Broadus VFD Fire Chief Raymond Ragsdale told us that no official cause could be determined by the fire inspector, but it was suspected to have been caused by an electrical fire, which started in the basement. VFD members donned SCBA apparatus, employed large fans, and spent around 3 hours cooling down the structure.     Every ten years the Montana Districting and Apportionment Commission meets to redraw legislative maps to meet with new census data. That map was drawn in 2022 for the upcoming 2024 elections, and resulted in Powder River County becoming enveloped entirely in HD 34 and SD 17. In previous years the county was split in two districts, between SD 21, HD 41 and SD 19, along with HD 38.     A deadly brain-eating amoeba has been confirmed in Grand Teton National Park hot springs for the first time.     The Broadus Sharp Shooters held an archery shoot earlier this month, at the Fair Barn in Broadus. Youth archers from Powder River and Custer County attended the event, as well as local adult archers competing in the adult shoot.
