On Monday, the Broadus High School debuted their new buzz-in door lock system, with your intrepid editor being the first visitor to enter through the system. Broadus Wrestling began their season in Sidney last week, at the Sidney Eagle Invitational, which featured 26 teams, with many large schools attending such as Minot and Dickinson, ND, and schools as far flung as Lake Stevens, Washington. HELENA – Muzzleloader heritage season opens on Saturday, Dec. 14, and runs through Sunday, Dec. 22. This season is for heritage muzzleloaders only; no other means of taking game, such as archery, is allowed. The board accepted the hiring of Kevin Samuelson as a volunteer assistant boys basketball coach, and Kyle Hodgkiss as a volunteer assistant wrestling coach. Additionally, Tara Hodgkiss will be pulling double duty, as assistant boys basketball coach and volunteer assistant girls basketball coach. Carl Schneidt, 95, a beloved longtime Miles City businessman, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2024, at the Miles City Veterans Home. Born on February 7, 1929 in Broadus, Montana, Carl was the son of Carl Sr. and Katherine (Paul) Schneidt. He grew up in Broadus, where he attended grade school and high school.
