    In recent District Court filings, Vincent Moravek, recently of 10 Mile Creek, was charged with Felony Intimidation for allegedly threatening to shoot Thomas Heacock at the 22 10 Mile Creek Road address. Moravek pled not guilty and an omnibus hearing is scheduled for December 10th. Kyle Giacometto of Broadus was found guilty of endangering the welfare of a child, a felony, for an incident which occurred on April 11, 2023, in which a child in his care was found to have been exposed to methamphetamine.     Whitney Patten, 91, passed away on November 17, 2024, at home in Oracle, Arizona. He was born in Broadus on October 26, 1933. His parents, Georgianna and Ben Patten, lived on a homestead at Graham, where they operated the post office and raised whatever they needed to provide for their family. He was the 10th of 11 children, 5 girls and 6 boys. His earliest memory was from 1936, when at the age of 3, armed with a swatter, he was charged with killing grasshoppers in the garden to protect the fami...
