    Last Tuesday, a group of local residents met with Montana FWP Broadus Area Wildlife Biologist Ryan DeVore to discuss a planned study to look at pronghorn antelope in Southeastern Montana. The local portion of the study will take place in Carter County and eastern Powder River County.     In the final home match of the season last Friday, the Broadus Lady Hawk Volleyball team hosted the Terry Lady Terriers. Broadus needed to win the match against Terry in three sets in order to move up to 5th in the conference standings, thus assuring themselves more even matchups in this week's District tournament in Glendive.     The Broadus Lady Hawk Cross Country team, consisting of Rachel Rasmussen, Rheanna Schroeder, and Samantha Perry, competed in Great Falls last weekend for the State Competition. The conditions were sub-optimal for the race, with several inches of snow falling on the course before the runners lined up for the start.     On the afternoon of October 22, 2019, Scott Howard Burley passed away peacefully of natural causes at Powder River Manor in Broadus. He was surrounded by his family, Scott was 92 years old. Scott was born in Miles City, MT on November 3rd, 1926. He was the second child of four and the first born son of James and Freda Burley.
