    With their win against Wibaux last Thursday, the 2022 Broadus Lady Hawk Volleyball team finished their regular season with a perfect 23-0 record, having won all 12 conference matches this season. In the match last week, Wibaux tried a different defense to try to counteract the hard hitting kills of Zeason Schaffer, and the defense seemed to work for a time.     October 27, 1922 Flour Given Name Powder River Best “Powder River Best,” is the name adopted for the Broadus flour now being manufactured by John Leno and Adam Berndt at the local flour mill. The name was decided in a contest in which 100 pounds of flour were to be awarded to the winner. Leno selected R.T. Blenkner, Geo. W. Taylor and Chas. S.     The Broadus Cross Country team competed at the State race in Missoula at the University of Montana golf course on Saturday, in the culminating race of the 2022 year. Running for the Lady Hawks were Seniors Rheanna Schroeder and Mercy Brost, Sophomores Alix Heacock and Rebekah Rasmussen, and Freshman Gracey Bradley.     Gloria Jean (Preston) Patrick, 75, passed away Monday, October 17, 2022 in her home. Gloria was born January 5, 1947 in Miles City, Montana to Kenneth and Alvera Preston.
