The Broadus Schools 2022 Homecoming will take place next week, with Broadus hosting games in Cross Country, Football, and Volleyball throughout the course of the week. The Lady Hawk Cross Country team took on a hail storm at the meet in Billings, and last week went on to face heat and the dreaded Gas Cap Hill at the Hardin Invitational, last Friday. Gas Cap Hill is a notoriously long, tough climb for the racers, and this year the hot conditions prompted race coordinators to have a person at the top of the climb spraying the racers down with water to cool them off as they summited the hill. The Hawk Football team traveled to Lavina last week to play Belt in a non-conference game. Broadus Head Coach Wyatt Williams told us conditions were hot for the game. Two of the last local golf tournaments of the summer season took place over the past couple weekends. "The Tournament", held August 27th and 28th featured 32 teams, with two golfers per team over the two day tournament.
