    MILES CITY – Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Region 7 will host an in-person Trapper Education field day in Miles City on Saturday, Sept. 7 at the FWP headquarters shop from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. To be able to purchase a Montana resident Class C trapping license, people must first complete Trapper Education, unless they have purchased a trapping license in Montana or another state in at least three previous years. The van is ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) accessible and can transport up to two wheelchairs.     A semi truck burst into flames and burned to the ground along Highway 212 west of Epsie last Thursday, August 15th, after colliding with another truck. The accident was reported at 8:55 AM, and reportedly involved an east bound truck crossing the centerline into oncoming traffic.     DPHHS urges Montanans to take extra care to avoid mosquito bites State and local health officials are reporting today the first Montana West Nile virus (WNV) detections for summer 2024 in mosquitoes across four counties. Six mosquito pools in Blaine, Dawson, Prairie, and Wibaux counties have tested positive for WNV.     HELENA – Last week, hunters were notified if they successfully drew an antelope license for the upcoming season. The number of licenses drawn in each hunting district were based on recommendations Fish, Wildlife & Parks’ biologists made after they completed aerial surveys of antelope herds during the last few weeks.
