  • Martinson Wins Working Horse Show

    The Powder River Working Horse Show took place last Saturday as the capstone event for the fair. Competitors vied for a custom saddle along with top honors by utilizing their riding skills, as well as their horse's training and ability to try and best the local competition in several categories including confirmation, cutting, heading, heeling, boxing, fence work, and a trail class.     On Sunday, August 7th a golf tournament was held at Rolling Hills Golf Course for the junior golfers of the community. On Fridays throughout the month of July youth golfers practiced on the course, and the August tournament served as an end of the year competition. Leather key chains made by Zach Jones, a sheep fitting stand welded by Lea Aye, a corn hole game built by Justin Aye and a hand-stitched leather purse by Colton Jones received top bids.
