The Micro-Mania Wrestling Tour entertained a large crowd at Stockman's Club in Broadus last week, as the performers put on a WWE-like show for the audience. By Jim Collins 18 players turned out for the first annual TRECO TRIO Golf Tournament in Broadus on August 12. A portion of the entry fees went to benefit Education Round Up, a scholarship program for graduating Seniors. Education Round Up is a program through TRECO where members can choose to round up their monthly bill to the nearest dollar and put this spare change into the scholarship fund. On Monday evening the Broadus School Board Trustees met for their monthly meeting. All members were present other than Jay Schroeder and Danny Krantz. The major agenda item was approval of the 2023-24 school budget. Spotty moisture and a hot spell during the latter stages of July were perhaps the major stories in regards to weather in July, as some areas of the county received heavy rainfall, while others received scant moisture.
