    Art & Soul, Powder River County’s own Artisan Society, met recently to finalize plans for the upcoming Art Show and Sale. The Show will be held on the 4th, 5th, and 6th of July during the Centennial Celebration. Hours are 10-6 on Thursday and Friday, and 10-4 on Saturday.   • FSA Maps - 2019 Acreage Reporting/ Crop Certification: July 15 Deadline

    In order to comply with FSA program eligibility requirements, all producers, including livestock producers, are encouraged to visit the Powder River FSA office to file an accurate crop certification report by the applicable deadline. Producers are required to complete and submit their FSA maps as part of the crop certification process.   • Lockwood wins third straight PBR Victory

    Jess Lockwood won a PBR Touring Pro bullriding event for the third weekend in a row, on June 22 in Binford, ND. Lockwood had an 88.5 point ride in round one, and an 89 point ride in round two, which netted him $4,225 in winnings, and 60 event points. The 2017 PRB World Champ is ranked second in the PBR World standings, with 3,153 points, trailing leader Jose Vitor Leme with 3,502 points. Jess has won $268,951 so far this season.     Host farewell for PFC son Mr. and Mrs. Allen Drane hosted a farewell dinner Thursday night for PFC Allen Drane, Jr. who had been on leave from Germany and was returning to complete his over-sea duty there.
