    Statewide voter turnout for the June 7, 2022 primary election was 39.2%, with 291,511 voters casting ballots in the election, out of 743,666 registered voters in MT. In comparison to previous primaries, in the 2020 primary 54.8% of voters cast ballots, and in 2018 41.6% voted. In the 2020 general election 81.3% voted, and 71.5% in the November 2018 general election.     The Broadus School Board Trustees met on Monday for their regular monthly meeting. Trustees Lori Fortner and Danny Johnson were not in attendance, all others were present. Faith Dyrud was hired as an Ag Ed teacher; Superintendent Hansen told the board that she has previous experience working in Hysham, as well as experience in welding and mechanics.   • Some Local Offices Closed For Juneteenth

    Federal offices will be closed in commemoration of the Juneteenth holiday, on Monday, June 20th. The post office will also be closed on Monday, as will Yellowstone Bank. State and local government offices will remain open on that day. The Juneteenth holiday takes place June 19th and is recognized officially on the following Monday, and commemorates the emancipation of enslaved black Americans. The 5-mile run/walk begins at 7:00 a.m., and the 1-mile run/walk begins at 8:00 a.m. Both races start on the west side of Cottonwood Park in Broadus. Registration for the 5-mile run/walk is $30 (includes a t-shirt) in advance but increases to $35 the day of the run.
