    Last week, a Presidential Disaster Declaration was signed which will allow FEMA money to go towards flood recovery from earlier this spring. The funding will cover eight Montana counties – Powder River, Daniels, Lake, McCone, Park, Stillwater, Treasure, and Valley.     The Manor celebrated National Nursing Home Week May 12th – May 18th with loads of fun activities for the residents and their families to enjoy. The Activities Department started off the week in style with beautiful corsages for each lady at the Manor.     Three PRCDHS teachers: Lynell Denson, Jesse Barnhart, and Charlanne Lemke, retired at the end of the school year. The teachers were honored with a party held last Tuesday, also receiving plaques from the school district, and flower stands made by the District FFA students. Lynell has been the Family and Consumer Science Teacher since 2001. She plans on enjoying some travel and vacation time with her husband, Mike.     By Coach Jerry Coulter The State C Track Meet took place in Laurel on May 24-25th. Our first event was junior, Karli Collins, who really likes the Discus. She threw her personal best of 81'7". Good job! Our next event was senior Kiarah Coulter in the Long Jump. She went to State in seventh place at 15'9 even though she has a personal best of 16'3".     May 7, 2019 Commissioners met for their weekly meeting with Donna Giacometto, Lee Randall, and Rod Schaffer present. Meeting was called to order. No public comment was received at this time. Rod Schaffer left the meeting to go the Safety meeting from 9-9:30. Commission signed the FAA Entitlement share paperwork.     Faith Bible Church is offering to cover $250 in Bible Camp fees for this summer for kids from Powder River County. Kids from 3rd through 12th grade can take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. The two camps that will be covered are Camp Bethel in the Big Horn Mountains and Trails End Ranch in Ekalaka. Camp Bethel has designated age groups for each week. This coming week is for 5th & 6th graders. There are lots of camping, games, canoeing and other activities. In league play Cale Emmons and Graci Barbero finished 1st with 30-10 record followed by Solly Bradley and Tate Page with a 24-16 record.
