  • Track Team Starts Out Season With Strong Showing

    The high school track season kicked off last Saturday in Miles City, with Broadus taking on 13 other teams at the Miles City B/C Invite. We spoke to Head Track Coach Jerry Coulter on Monday, who provided us with results from the meet, as well as information on his team. 25 athletes are out for the team this year - a significant increase over last season’s 12 athletes.     By Kim Blain Wednesday, April 22nd, was a big day for the 38 Broadus junior high music students who attended Junior High Music Festival at Colstrip High School along with Colstrip, Forsyth and St. Labre junior high students. In addition to performances by the whole band and choir, students participated in solos, duets and ensembles throughout the day.     The High School Golf team has 19 athletes on the team, with 11 boys and 8 girls, 11 of which are returning to the team.     The Steps for Charity walking challenge ended March 31st with 20 teams and 80 participants logging over 33, 326,443 million steps or 750 miles in the two-month period. The Biddle Calving Crew logged the most steps with 3,417,699, raising $330 for the Biddle Community Heritage Center. Mary, Owen, Jackie and Evan Rumph make up this family walking team, averaging 379,744 steps each week or 57,927 each day.
