    The Broadus High School Track team got off to a running start last week in Glendive. Snow from a storm earlier in the week was piled around the track to make room for the competitors; fortunately the storm had left time for the track to dry before the meet.     The Broadus golf team showed they are still the SE Montana team to beat last Friday, as both boys and girls team won at a home meet in Broadus. The weather was cool but comfortable for the competition, which featured golfers from Park City, Baker, Wibaux, Fairview, Wesby/Grenora, and Savage. Returning to coach the team this season is Chad Gatlin, with Hattie Arithson and Rick Gatlin serving as assistant coaches.     The extremely dry weather pattern throughout the winter took a bit of a break in March, as Broadus received precipitation in four separate instances throughout the month. Though the moisture average remained below normal, at 0.46” compared to a “normal” amount of 0.78”, the change in weather patterns is a welcome sign.
