    The stormy weather last week caused the rescheduling of the Miles City Track Meet to April 9th. The meet last week would've been the Broadus High School Track team's first test of the year. Instead, the team has another week to prepare, and will now be traveling to Glendive on March 28th, if the weather holds.   • Broadus VFD Stays Busy

    On March 14th the Broadus Volunteers responded to a haystack fire north of Broadus. The fire was human caused, and was a total loss of 48 round round bales. The VFD prevented flying embers from spreading and causing further fire to the surroundings. On March 18th at 2:10 PM, Broadus VFD rescue truck, and two ambulances from Broadus responded to a wreck just south of Volborg on Hwy 59.     Tizer Barnhart (below) won first in the Bantam 75 at State AAU Wrestling earlier this month, while Jesse Barnhart (above in first place) was first in the 8U 87-97 at the Montana Open, last weekend.     March 28th 1924 Moving Picture Theater opens to a Packed House The Star Theater had its initial opening Saturday evening with an estimated 160 adults and children attending. The moving pictures were projected across the width of the Hall, thirty feet from the machine to the canvas curtain. The curtain measures 9 X 12 feet, with the size of the pictures, 7 x 10 feet.
