The Broadus Lady Hawks finished up their season last weekend at the 4C District Tournament in Miles City, with losses to Ekalaka and Custer-Hysham. This meant the Broadus team faced number three ranked Ekalaka – a quick team which have proven themselves to be difficult to beat. The young Broadus team, perhaps feeling the pressure from being under the gaze of the throngs of tournament a...

A missed shot here, a rebound bouncing into the hands of an opponent there, the fates seemed to take the other team's side on multiple occasions. Such was not the case at the 4C District Tournament in Miles City, where Broadus tempted fate and came out ahead. Broadus went into the tournament at 7-7 on the regular season, suffering a...

By Jessica Malone Board members and volunteers met at the Powder River Historical Museum on Friday to discuss and plan the upcoming 2020 season. Ron Talcott acted as President and Chairman of the Powder River Historical Society for many years and although he served numerous areas of the Broadus community, I believe his loss will be felt most deeply at the museum. Without Ron at the helm, an important order of business was to elect and confirm officers and directors to manage the upcoming season. Current museum Directors include: Charley Emmons...
