The Broadus School Board Trustees met Monday evening for their monthly meeting. The board accepted a motion to hire Bill Alderman as a volunteer wrestling coach, as well as Sarah Earley as a substitute at the elementary. They also accepted the resignations of HS Teachers Michelle Wash, and Marshall and Patty Williams, along with Elementary Teacher Marilyn Emmons. The Broadus basketball teams traveled to Savage last Tuesday, followed by home games against Custer/Hysham on Friday, and a trip to Jordan on Saturday. This weekend, Broadus travels to Meltone Friday, and hosts Terry on Saturday. Senior night will take place after the girls varsity game, before the boys warm up. The Broadus wrestlers took to the mat at the Forsyth Mixer last week. Broadus Head Coach Frankie Schoonover told us that though Broadus wrestlers didn’t see many wins, he thought they were fundamentally strong as a group. 145 lb Junior Corbin Irish wrestled in his first matches, after missing the beginning of the season.
