    The Hawk Dome was filled from floor to rafter with wrestling fans last Thursday, as Broadus hosted a Dual against Custer County's High School and AAU teams. 41 AAU matches took place during the meet, along with matches for the high school wrestlers on a second mat.   • Town Council Holds Final Vote On Rate Changes

    On Wednesday, January 24th, the Broadus Town Council met to hear comments on the proposed rate increases on water and garbage rates for Broadus town residents. No comments were heard from the public regarding the matter, nor were any members of the public on hand to voice their opinions (though your intrepid reporter was on hand to document the meeting).     Broadus Varsity teams won games on the road at Ekalaka on Friday, then dropped home games against Jordan on Saturday. On Tuesday evening Broadus hosted Ekalaka, in games rescheduled from just prior to Christmas. The Tuesday games came about after we went to print, and will be reported on next week. Sentencing was set for the same day but was pushed back to March 26.     Nancy Jo Odonnell was born September 18th, 1936, to G.E. "Casey" and Clara Odonnell in Lafayette, Colorado. She was the second of four children in the Odonnell family. Casey worked in the oil and gas industry and traveled extensively in Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas. While her parents were away, Nancy stayed with her grandparents.     On January 9th the Powder River Masonic Lodge #135 met at a Table Lodge to celebrate "The Feast of Saint John." After the Lodge closed they moved to the Broadus Barbero VFW Hall to serve a free meal of BBQ beef and seafood bisque to the community. 60 towns people attended and enjoyed food and drinks.
