    Wesley Robert Kercheval was found guilty on several charges stemming back to 2019 and 2020. According to court documents, in the fall of 2019 Kercheval sold psilocyn mushrooms to an undercover agent from the Montana Division of Criminal Investigation, at the Montana Bar in Broadus. Kercheval pled guilty to one charge of possession of psilocyn, and another of distribution of psilocyn. Those charges carry fees of $3000 each, and involve dependency counseling and a suspended sentence. Kercheval also was found guilty on a meth possession charge,...

    On Monday of this week, the Montana High School Association held their January meeting in Butte, where they voted on a variety of potential changes to high school sports. The changes most likely to affect sports in Broadus are the inclusion of a 35 second shot clock in basketball for the 2022-23 school year, and the inclusion of 8th grade participation in high school sports in all sports other than football.     The Hawk Wrestlers traveled just up the road to the 63rd Annual Cowboy Invitational, last weekend in Miles City. With a team decimated by illness, Coach Frankie Schoonover brought four wrestlers to the meet: Freshman Isaiah McMullan, wrestling at 103 pounds, Senior Seth McDowell, who bumped up in weight class to 145 lbs for the Cowboy, Sophomore Riggin Schaffer, at 152 lbs, and Heavyweight Senior Josiah Middle Rider.     The Broadus AAU team had a great weekend at the Miles City Invitational AAU Wrestling Tournament over the weekend. The 31 member team scored 5th out of 19 teams at the tournament, with three wrestlers – Baylor Kuhbacher, Reuben Kinzer, and Mason Kolka placing first in their weight classes.     Amory Hubbard died peacefully in his sleep at home on January 11th. He was 90 years old. He was born in Boston on March 19, 1931 and was the youngest child of Edward and Laura Hubbard. He was a devout and active Catholic the whole of his life and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Amory was educated at Milton Academy and graduated from Harvard University in 1953. He loved hockey and was later inducted into the Harvard Hall of Fame. He made his first trip to Wyoming as a teenager, working...
