    The restaurant at Powder River Lanes is back open after a broken sprinkler system flooded the bowling lanes the third week of December. Though the broken line occurred during a -10 degree day, Lanes owners Jeff and Jenny Alterman told us the cold temps were not responsible for the break. “Nothing froze;, the fire sprinkler system broke”, Jeff commented when we stopped by the Lanes on Monday.     January 3, 1947 Broadus Landmark Was Destroyed By Fire Fire completely destroyed the Star Theater in Broadus Saturday night. Efforts of the Broadus Volunteer Fire Department to stem the blaze were to no avail as the whole building was afire at the time that the alarm was sounded. The District Court is a passport acceptance facility, which those seeking a passport for the first time much utilize to complete their application.
