    7 marked a wetter than average year for Broadus, though the same story was not true throughout the area. The first months of 2023 had near normal totals through April, then a fairly dry April and May, transitioning to a June and July which saw ranchers struggling to put up hay in a timely manner due to all the rain. Attending the regional meet were 54 competitors from Custer, Baker, Hardin, Colstrip, Forsyth, and Plevna. The Broadus JH BPA competitors all placed high enough to qualify for state in at least one event, but can compete in up to three qualified events at state in Billings this March.     The High School basketball games against Ekalaka originally scheduled for December 22nd were postponed, due to cold and flu sickness amongst both teams, hitting players and coaching staff from both teams, according to reports from Broadus Schools.
